Roles and Responsibilities

Chair

The chair is appointed by the executive members to serve for a period of two years. During his serving period the chair shall be responsible for the following tasks. • Make arrangement and attend the CGS-NCR executive meetings and events. • Schedules, set agenda, and Chairs CGS-NCR section executive and member meetings, and events. • Keeps possession or keeps track of items belonging to the CGS-NCR section (slide projector / gifts for presenters/ Student forum plaque/ computer speaker and microphone to assist with members attending meetings virtually.) • Oversee CGS-NCR section activities and review CGS-NCR section financials. • Develops a target plan for development, expansion, and financials. • Plans activities and assigns team lead for sub-committees. • Proposes new action plans and activities for technical engagement and development. • Forms sub-committees for the development and implementation of administration tasks. • Follows up on progress of sub-committees and assists sub-committee leaders. • Provides report on the overall annual progress of the CGS-NCR section and the need for future plans. • Presents to the executive committee proposed action plans, modification to activities of CGS-NCR operations, executive members roles, and organizational development for the executive committee approval. • During the annual Baquet, summarizes activities of the CGS-NCR section during the past year and recognizes members who have made significant achievements during the past year.
